MACMILLAN DE’LONGHI ART AUCTION
George Morton-Clark along side, Tracey Emin, Sir Peter Blake, Rankin and Damien Hirst, donate work to the Macmillan De’Longhi Art Auction.
Now in it’s 7th year the charity event has raised over £800,000 since its conception in 2007, helping support those whose lives are affected by cancer. The money raised is used for funding services such as information and support centres, phone services, building cancer care facilities, as well as assisting nurses and other specialist health care professionals.
Donna Air was a particularly good host at an auction. She used the good old fashioned technique of charm at the Macmillan De’Longhi Art Auction to persuade the likes of Daisy Lowe, Katherine Jenkins and Pearl Lowe to be extra, extra generous and bid on works by Rankin and George alike. Luckily, there were plenty of De’Longhi espresso martinis making the rounds to keep everyone BUZZING all night. It proved extremely tactical because nobody left until all pieces had been auctioned off, and rather joyfully, raised an absolute packet for Macmillan Cancer support in the process.
